LandDesign provided site layout, infrastructure, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and permitting for the new tennis facility that incorporates 12 new hard courts and a tennis complex building. The chief site challenge for this project was its adjacency to a floodway, greenway, existing road and future road realignment. In addition, LandDesign facilitated an encroachment agreement between UNC Charlotte and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities (CMUD), allowing an existing 24” sanitary sewer trunk main to remain under the future courts, greatly reducing added construction costs for relocation.
