LandDesign provided site planning, infrastructure design, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and permitting for this facility. The stadium and facilities required the relocation, design, and permitting of UNC Charlotte’s main recreational fields. The project site utilizes a groundwater dewatering system to capture overflow for site irrigation and internal building uses. With large peak infrastructure demands, various utility projects are required to facilitate this, including a looped water distribution system and relocation of a 10” sewer main serving the CRI campus. Due to field and building elevations, a sanitary sewer siphon was installed under Toby Creek to connect with the existing Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utility (CMUD) trunk sewer main.
