“The Energy Production Infrastructure Center (EPIC) building provides 200,000 square feet of classroom and laboratory space to accommodate growth in energy infrastructure research and promote collaboration with industry partners on the Charlotte Research Institute (CRI) campus at UNC Charlotte. The EPIC building enhances site preservation and stormwater management while obtaining a LEED Gold certification.

LandDesign was responsible for all related site design, permitting, and construction inspections, including site planning, utilities, drainage, erosion control, stormwater management, courtyard and outdoor plazas, landscape design, and hardscape design. The overall project also includes the expansion of a regional utility plant and the extension of an existing road to a signalized intersection.”
