Q: Why landscape architecture?

Originally, it was the most direct route to Golf Course architecture. But now, I love being able to create places that my wife and kids can enjoy.

Q: Favorite trend that’s happening in your industry?

The respect landscape architects are gaining from the architecture community. I am seeing a growing trend of our architectural clients giving us more creative freedom with the site design.

Q: Favorite LandDesign project you’ve worked on?

I’ve been working with SeaWorld on several water slide projects. I am currently designing the fourth and fifth one in three years.

Q: What drives you to create places that matter?

My wife and daughters. Seeing them enjoy the places I help create brings me more joy and sense of pride than anything else.

Q: Who would you like to collaborate with, that you haven’t with already?

Chad Kovaleski.

Q: What would the title of your autobiography be?

Memoirs of a Family Man.

Q: What did you name your first car?

Mia, she was a 1989 Mercury Topaz.

Q: How do you eat an Oreo?

Double Stuffed — only.

Q: What’s the largest animal you think you could domesticate ?

Blue Whale — why think any smaller?

Q: If your life had a theme song, what would it be?

Eye of the Tiger.
