Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall

LandDesign's vision for Symphony Park transformed a previously undeveloped ravine on the mall site into a spectacular performance park and green space. Highlighting the park is a visually striking 2,700 square foot covered stage incorporated into the footprint of a 1.7 acre pond that also provides storm water retention and water quality treatment for the site. The water management greatly improved downstream flooding and successfully mitigated an on-site ground contamination issue. An expansive green area now allows area residents to use the park year-round, in addition to the symphony concerts, festivals and other special events.
