LandDesign, working with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and several local developers, prepared a Master Plan as well as financial and strategic inputs historic Weld Quay found within George Town’s UNESCO World Heritage area. The redevelopment of Weld Quay provides a new chapter in this narrative, harmonizing George Town’s colorful past with a vibrant, economically sustainable future. Through a combined effort of preservation, reuse and redevelopment, Weld Quay will offer retail, dining, entertainment, hospitality, and expanded cruise and marina uses interconnected by a series of parks and historic program elements. The combination of these elements will transform the area into an authentic, revitalized waterfront well loved by visitors and residents.
