Joining LandDesign in 1995, Kevin Vogel is a Partner and Senior Civil Engineer. Based in Charlotte, he is responsible for design staff management of project teams, delivering a full scope of services from project due diligence through final design, construction documentation, and permitting to construction administration services.

With over 15 years experience, Mr. Vogel's work with many large-scale projects has required an emphasis on regulatory environments as municipalities have had to react to changing regulations as they manage growth and meet land use and environmental objectives. In light of federal requirements and local environmental initiatives, recent work with the City of Charlotte (NC), City of Mooresville (NC), and Augusta County (VA) has focused on storm water and erosion control regulations in an effort to balance economic development goals with natural resource conservation.

Mr. Vogel is also the lead engineer for the Little Sugar Creek Greenway project for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Parks and Recreation, developing the greenway and restoring Little Sugar Creek, which extends over 12 miles and traverses 17 neighborhoods; is crossed by roads 23 times; and passes by 8 shopping centers, 10 schools, and 6 parks. He also works with the International Sustainability Council on urban redevelopment projects, helping clients ensure that, in addition to social and economic improvements, their communities also recognize and maintain the environmental balance designed into their projects.

Mr. Vogel earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado, and Utah. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of State Dam Safety Officials.
