Bissell Development Company desired an amenity that could complement the existing Ballantyne Corporate Park and attract business conferences to the complex. A hotel/conference center with a golf course and teaching facility was envisioned as the solution. LandDesign's analysis of the property revealed the most appropriate land for office and hotel/conference uses, as well as a five-acre site for a nationally recognized golf academy. The golf course was routed through the land deemed unsuitable for these structures, including narrow valleys with jurisdictional streams and wetlands. Throughout the golf course, water quality and stormwater detention ponds provide stormwater management for the business parcels on the upland property. These ponds are weaved into the design of the golf course and planned as visual amenities.
